The Spike Assassin is one of the B.S.A.'s main mass-produced weapons. It was developed based on the concept proposed by Vice Commander S as a weapon that could be used both in and outside the atmosphere. Each Spike Assassin is equipped with artificial intelligence, and grows stronger with each battle. At the beginning of development, there were opinions that the humanoid form was not necessary if practicality was to be considered, but the vice commander silenced them with the words, "Because it looks cool." During development, prototypes equipped with variable mechanisms were also manufactured, and these were given the model name SA-T. In addition, plans are underway to mass-produce a derivative model equipped with an expansion weapon called SAV.
